About the LDDVF Urgent Needs Drive - Running Through December 23, 2016!
For many of us the holiday season is a time of family, excitement and joy. It is also the season in which those less fortunate acutely feel their pain and isolation. That is why the Lisa Diener Domestic Violence Foundation (LDDVF) has once again chosen to support a domestic violence organization in serving the holiday needs and wishes for those who have sought assistance.
This year, the LDDVF has proudly selected Turning Point, a shelter serving the Lehigh and Northampton Counties in PA. The beneficiaries of our 2016 Holiday Drive will be each individual who goes to Turning Point for assistance. Upon entering the shelter, each person is given a pillow, a blanket & a towel which they can also take with them when they leave the shelter to start a new life.
These items in a “care package” and therefore asking our supporters to contribute pillows, twin sized blankets & towels. These contributions will be packaged & wrapped with a purple ribbon and an LDDVF pin!

About Turning Point
Recognizing a growing need, a group of formerly abused women came together in 1976 to establish “May Day Anonymous.” The small group and volunteers answered hotline calls from women who were victims of domestic violence in the area.
In 1978, the group was granted nonprofit status and evolved into Turning Point of Lehigh Valley. Since its incorporation, Turning Point of Lehigh Valley (TPLV) has helped more than 85,000 victims of domestic abuse.
